Description
This CBD announcement is modified to reflect the following changes: 1) The Government fs best estimate for this acquisition is less than $40,000. Therefore, in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations at Part 13.003 gPolicy h subpart (b)(1)this acquisition is reserved exclusively for small businesses and shall be set aside. 2) Only those bidders who are determined to meet the minimum qualifications will receive copies of the RFQ. These minimum qualifications are as follows: Have an existing, developed technology to implement air inlet cooling for combustion turbines. Verification of the possession of such technology can be supported through the following: ‒ Submission of U.S. Patents on the specific area of gCooling Inlet Air to a Combustion Turbine h. ‒ Have implemented a gCooling Inlet Air to a Combustion Turbine h project that is presently operational with a third party. Please provide the contact company name, project name, telephone number, and E-mail address for the project contact. Describe the technology and quantify all inputs that are required to make the technology function for a combustion turbine with the size specified by the contractor. Explain why this technology could be implemented across a broad geographic range of U.S. operating conditions. Present an analysis indicating why this technology will be cost effective for Distributed Energy Resource sized combustion turbines. In order to be considered to receive a copy of the solicitation, all of the above information must be received no later than COB August 29, 2001, by Albert H. Benson at U.S. Department of Energy, Boston Regional Office. Mr. Benson can be reached at (617) 565-9734. Transmittal of the RFQ will occur on or around August 31, 2001 to be returned no later than COB September 12, 2001, with award occurring prior to September 30, 2001.
