THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR GLAST ACD PHOTOMULTIPLIER TUBES (PMT'S). Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to: (1)Extend the due date for questions regarding this acquisition from August 22, 2001 to August 30, 2001. Questions must be submitted in writing via fax to Veronica Stubbs at 301-286-1773 or via email to Veronica.C.Stubbs.1@gsfc.nasa.gov; (2) Extend the due date for receipt of proposals from August 30, 2001 to September 14, 2001; and (3) Provide URL's or other means for obtaining the documents referenced in the section entitled "Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance Requirements to be met by the Photomultiplier Tube", as follows: GSFC ACD-QA-8001, "Quality Plan for the Anticoincidence Detector (Contact Veronica Stubbs to obtain a copy) GSFC 433-MAR-0001, "The Mission Assurance Requirements for the Large Area Telescope", and SLAC LAT-MD-00039, "LAT Performance Assurance Implementation Plan" can be found at http://www-project.slac.stanford.edu/glastqa/sitemap.html 433-SPEC-0001 can be found at http://glast.gsfc.nasa.gov/project/cm/mcdl/ In addition, under this section delete document MN000928D1 "LAT Mechanical Performance Specification", and replace with the following two documents: LAT-SS-10.1: LAT LEVEL II(B) Performance Specification and LAT-SS-00241-1-D2: LAT-ACD Subsystem Mechanical Interface Control Document, found at http://www-glast.slac.stanford.edu The due date for receipt of offers is extended to Friday, September 14, 2001 2:00 p.m. local time. Companies shall provide the information stated in the synopsis/RFQ posted on the NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS) on August 9, 2001. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and reside on the World Wide Web (WWW) server which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
