Description
The 30th Space Wing, Vandenberg AFB CA, soliciting offerors to purchase and install two (2) Ceramic Electri c Kilns for the Skills Development Center on VAFB CA. This is a combine synopsis/solicitation for a commercial it em prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included i n this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are being requested and a written soli citation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04684-01-T-0544 and will be issued as a request for quot ation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acqu isition circular 97-27. This acquisition is a 100 % set-aside for small business participation only. The SIC Code is 3343 and size standard is 500 There will be one (1) contract line items, one job, for this acquisition. The c ontractor is to purchase and install two (2) Ceramic Electric Kilns with the following Requirements: Kiln, with select Fire Kiln Controller, three phase, 240V AC, with the following specifications: High fire temperature, front-loading ceramic electric kiln. Recommended for classroom and studio installation. El ements are housed within the firebrick itself. There are two sections per side and one section on the bottom. Hi ghest quality wire protected by high fire refractory holders, slotted for maximum heat radiation. Holders slide i n grooves in the firing chamber walls and are easily removed for easy replacement. Welded steel throughout with e xtra heavy, one piece front panels, finished in heat resistant ebony and silver gray. Hardware is chromium plated . Refractory backed, steel firing chamber doors, swing out of the way for easy stacking and can be lifted off hin ges. Must have select fire kiln controller, for computerized programming of fire times (perfect fire kiln control). W arranty information must be included with bid. Exterior Dimensions: 45"wide x 38 ?" deep x 66 ?" high Fire Chamber: 20" wide x 20" deep x 36" high (must be no smaller than this size) Maximum Fire Temperature: 2350F (1288C) -up to high fire pottery and porcelain Approx.
