Description

The Federal Highway Administration, on behalf of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), plans to award a purchase order to the American Trucking Association to jointly plan, develop, implement and eval uate a Share the Road media pilot. The services will include mass media coverage of the Share the Road events pri or to the participation of the general pubic. It will maximize the exposure of the Share the Road messages in lo cations identified as high risk for car-truck collisions. The American Trucking Association and its Share the Ro ad (previously "How to Drive") initiative is the only national organization that can immediately meet the FMCSA's need for broad-based local and national coverage of Share the Road events. This is a joint effort and the Ameri can Trucking Association is the only known source who can provide the services required. This is a Simplified Ac quisition and the anticipated award date is on or about September 5, 2001.
