Description

The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking potential sources for Museum Collection Management System Software. Potential sources must be capable of furnishing the following: twenty (20) copies [or seats] of a museum collection management software application for the purpose of cataloguing, organizing, and managing its museum property, including monitoring Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) cultural items. Additionally, the application shall provide a mechanism for documenting and tracking Cultural Resources Management (CRM) compliance. The application shall be a commercial off-the-shelf software package customized, as necessary, to provide all Department of the Interior functional requirements. The application shall be ORACLE-based. The application shall be compatible with the existing Re:discovery software presently used by National Park Service and Department of the Interior Museum. The museum collection management system software application shall transmit and transfer data seamlessly to and from these data systems. Interested sources that can furnish an item meeting the above specification requirements are encouraged to submit substantiation to the Bureau of Reclamation, either by mail, fax, or transmittal to the e-mail address listed below no later than 7 days after date of publication of this notice. Responses must be in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the requirements stated above, and should include the firm's DUNS and TIN. This is a Sources Sought Notice only, and not a Request for Quotation or an announcement of a solicitation. The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this synopsis. Submittals furnished will not be returned to the sender. Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 541511 which is $18.0. This notice is for market research purposes only, however, the information gathered from this notice will be used to determine which preference program will be used to process the acquisition (e.g., 8(a) set-aside under the Small Business Administration's 8(a) program, total small business set-aside, full and open competition). No preference program determination will be made until the market research has been completed.
