Description

The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Small Business size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. This solicitation is an RFP and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/Rfp on its issue date of September 18, 2001. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. Firm Fixed Prices are required for at least the basic period and two option years for a total of 36 months in order to be considered for award. Firm Fixed Pricing for the basic and all four option years is requested. (Vendors are invited to propose a basic period longer than 12 months and option periods of at least 12 months in length so long as the total period covers at least 36 months but not more than 60 months.) This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 5935. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Various quantities are solicited. The proposed contract will be for shipment to stock locations only. Vendors are invited to recommend the most cost effective quantity ranges.
