PRON: AX149300AX, NSN: 2840-01-008-7887, PN: 1-190-008-04, Quantity 1,004 each, applicable to the T53 Turbine Engine used on UH-1/AH-1/OV-1 airframes. Shipment is F.O.B. origin with deliveries to Texarkana, TX. and Lawrence, NY. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside and restricted to the approved small business sources; SIFCO Custom Machining Co., 2430 N Winnetka Ave., Minneapolis, MN 55427-3568 and Walbar Metals INC., 323 S Bracken Lane, Chandler, AZ 85224. Required deliver with First Article Testing is 681 each 150 days after contract award (DACA), and 21 each per month thereafter until completion. First Article Test report is due 108 DACA. Required delivery without First Article Test is 681 each 120 DACA, and 21 each per month thereafter until completion. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to mainatin the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufactur ing knowledge by the qualified sources(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed c ontract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications, and drawings to permit full and open competition. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a n ew source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations by accessing the website www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/ and looking under SAR information. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be consid ered by the agency. By U.S. Law, participation in Small Business Set-Asides are restricted to U.S. Small Businesses, therefore foreign requests for this solicitation will not be honored. The closing date annotated is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of solicitation; however, solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
