Description

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) intends to negotiate on a Sole Source Basis with Odyssey Automotive Specialty, Inc. to install and modify 14 each GMC van vehicles , model 3500, with rear cargo door. Standardization to previously modified Ford vans will be required. Vendor's production site must be within a 250 mile radius of Washington, DC. Agency will be permitted to make pre-announced visits to review specifications of work in progress on the subject vehicles. Award will be made on a best value basis for the government, to the offeror meeting all the specifications on the Statement of Work. Evaluation will be based on technical specification, past performance and price in that order. Modifications will include 12 volt and 120 volt power distribution systems, as well as discreet emergency lighting and siren, central control console, security enhancements such as window screens, vehicle alarm and electrical deadbolts. Additional modifications will enhance personnel safety with shelving and other equipment handling and storage modifications. Also there will be a modification on the electrical wiring system , transmission oil cooler and the installation of an electronic brake system for a hookup whenever a trailer is used. This procurement is a total Small Business Set-Aside and an award will be made utilizing the simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Subpart 13.5.
