Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound has a requirement for Submarine Vertical Fenders, 2 pair , to support the homeporting of submarines on the island of Guam. The acquisition will be solicited as a Yokohama Fender or equal. The fenders shall be 11 1/2 X 35 FT, and shall include weights and jewelry. Delivery of the fen ders to Guam will be required by April 2002. The procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, will be utili zed. The RFQ will be issued on or about 04 Sep 01 and will close on or about 12 Sep 01. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to su bmit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or equivalent is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be main tained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electr onically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of p roposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
