Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement for services to transport a barge from NUWC Division Newport, RI to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment Seneca Lake in Dresden, NY. The means of transport must be by sea to the Seneca Lake site either up the NY Canal system via the Hudson River or through the Great Lakes via the St. Lawrence River. The barge is 110 feet by 30 feet by 14 feet. All outriggers, handrails, a/c units and external davits will be removed by the Government prior to award of contract. The barge transport must be initiated 7 days after award and must arrive at the Seneca Lake site no more than 30 days after receipt of barge. The contractor is responsible for all equipment necessary to conduct this operation (i.e. tug, personnel, tow cables, temporary moorings, lighting, flags, etc.) All permits, licensing, approvals, fees, and any other items associated with this process is the responsibility of the contractor. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13.
