Description

The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Washington intends to procure media outlet services in the areas of radio, television, print/publications and direct communication. The Navy will contract with several local media outlets for editorials/informative inserts, radio time, television segments, and direct mailings for general public education. The dissemination of information is to educate the people from Vieques and Puerto Rico on the Navy's mission and to gain support for the Navy's position in the 06 November 2001 referendum. This requirement is for the Commander, United States Naval Forces Southern Command, San Juan Detachment. The purchase orders will be awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (1) and FAR 6.302-1. The proposed purchase orders will be Firm-Fixed-Price. Any comments or questions regarding this announcement must be directed to Ms. Carmen G. Rios by 29 August 2001. Ms. Carmen G.
