Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates a multiple award of Firm Fixed Price contracts for the provision of Advanced Occupational Trades Program in Sales Services at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Milan, Michigan. Offeror shall provide Occupational Trades Program in Sales to the Federal Inmates housed at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC), Milan, Michigan. All work shall be completed in accordance with the Request for Quotation Number RFQ 40020-0030-1. The Government intends to a contract with a base year and four option year periods. Offeror shall provide services to the institution in a three hour session. Offeror's staff will be assigned to provide instructional services as part of the contract requirements and specified by the contractor's accreditation with the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and other relevant accreditation organizations for the areas being instructed. The session length is estimated at 40 sessions per year at the FPC Milan. This course should be at least (30) semester credit hours, or equivalent in length. The credit awarded should be Regionally accredited. Offeror must posses experience and education sufficient to instruct Sales Trades to an inmate population. A Bachelor of Science Degree with experience working with inmates or otherwise disadvantaged population is required; or a four year degree in a related field. The solicitation packets WILL NOT BE available until on or about 8/31/01. Penal Institution security requirements are applicable. The period of performance is as follows: Base Year Date of Award thru 12 months, Option Year 1 13 months thru 24 months, Option Year 2 25 months thru 36 months and Option 3 37 months thru 48 months. The project is not set-aside for small business. The bid due date is 9/21/01. The NAICS Code is 624310 and Size Standard is $5.0 Million. The anticipated/ estimated contract award date is October 1, 2001. Work is to be performed in a correctional setting and contractor and staff will be subject to background investigations and security procedures.
