Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items utilizing simplified acquisition procedures for commercial items and prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00140-01-Q-3509 applies and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). FISC Norfolk is soliciting on an unrestricted basis: all responsible sources may submit a proposal. The requirement is for a firm fixed price contract for the removal of existing chairs, purchase and installation of patriot stadium chairs as specified herein for FFTW Building 1410; Recruit Training Command; 3301 Indiana Street; Great Lakes, IL 60088. The rooms in Building 1410 pertaining to the requirement are: Basic Damage Control Room, Firefighting Room 1, Firefighting Room 2, and Team Trainer Room. The period of performance is one month beginning 1 January through 31 January 2002. Site Visits are to be scheduled through the Recruit Training Command. Points of contacts are MR2 Wiegel and GSM2 Hurt. The contractor shall coordinate their work schedule with the RTC points of contact or designee, who can be reached at telephone 847-688-5402. Section B follows:CLIN, Description, QTY, Unit. 0001, Removal of Existing Chairs IAW the statement of work, 1 Lot. 0002,Provide and Install Patriot Stadium Chairs (199 chairs per room)IAW the statement of work, 796, EA. STATEMENT OF WORK: The Contractor shall remove existing chairs and remove old chairs from the Basic Damage Control Room, Firefighting Room 1, Firefighting Room 2, and Team Trainer Room in the FFTW Building 1410; Recruit Training Command; 3301 Indiana Street; Great Lakes, IL 60088. The Contractor shall then provide and install the required chairs as follows: Patriot Stadium Chairs: #303036 Irwin PATRIOT Chairs (BRAND NAME OR EQUIVALENT, MUST PROVIDE SPECIFICATIONS FOR OTHER THAN BRAND NAME), floor mounted, Blow-Molded, contoured double wall plastic back -- extends to 32" above FF and included seat protector, #30S Seat, Blow-molded double-wall contoured plastic, self -lifting, integral steel seat-lift arms, #36 Aisle Standard, Pedestal type, #30C tubular welded steel center standards, plastic laminate surfaced hardwood armrests, Tablet arms: all chairs, plywood core, laminate surfaced -- balanced construction. F.O.B. is Destination. Within one-year from chair installation, the contractor shall install and replace additional chairs on an as needed basis at no additional cost to the Government. Standard Commercial Warranty shall also apply. FAR clauses 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (AUG 1998), 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items (OCT 1997), 52.212-3 Alt I Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (JAN 1997), 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (APR 1998), and DFAR 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items apply to this acquisition. Offerors are advised to include a copy of FAR 52.212-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000 as part of their offer. FAR 52.212-5 applies to this acquisition and as an addendum to 52.212-5 (b) also include clauses 52.203-6, 52.219-4, 52.219-8, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, and 52.232-33. DFAR clauses 252.212-7001, 252.225-7012, 252.225-7014, 252.225-7036, 252.227-7015, 252.227-7037, 252.243-7002, and 252.247-7024. DFARS 252.204-7004 entitled "Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies. Offerors must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award. CCR registration is free -- see website www.ccr2000.com for information and instructions. The North American Industry Classification System Codes is 337127. The evaluation factors are: 1) past performance and 2) price. Past performance will be considered more important than price. Award will be made to the responsible offeror(s) whose total offer conforming to the solicitation is determined most advantageous to the government. =20 Responses to this solicitation are due no later than 4:00 p.m. local (Philadelphia, PA) time, 4 September 2001. In accordance with FAR 52.215-5, if the offeror chooses to transmit a facsimile proposal, the government will not be responsible for any failure attributable to the transmission or receipt of the facsimile proposal.
