Description
The U.S. Customs Service intends to issue a purchase order for the following equipment: System 82 w/components: Basic Chassis, IBM Model 30 Computer, printer, cables, and software with 8219 dress cabinet. 8221 Pressure/Velocity System. 8222 Charge Amplifier System. 8225 Calibrate/Test System. 8226 Acoustic Target 8227 Pulse Amplifier 8229 Digital Pressure 8232 Time Base Model 71 Inductance Sensor SYSTEM 82 AND COMPONENTS System 82: The system is used in a mix-and-match fashion. Common to all systems are the basic chassis, IBM Model 30 computer, printer, cables, and software. No measurement modules are included. Dress Cabinet 8219: 19 inch cabinet to fit the System 82 chassis. Pressure/Velocity 8221: The system measures one peak pressure and two times. It is typically used to measure peak pressure, action time, and muzzle velocity. It is also used in the machine-gun chronograph function. Charge Amplifier 8222: Used to interface between a charge-mode pressure transducer and measurement channels. Amplifier gain and input protection is provided through System 82 hardware. Calibrate/Test 8225: Provides a convenient source of controlled signals for calibrating and checking system measurement modules. Acoustic Target 8226: Module has 4 associated acoustic sensors which make an electronic target scoring system for supersonic bullets. The standard target coverage is 6 feet in diameter. Accuracy is in the order of 0.1 inch. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. POC for technical specifications is Sharon Kilcrease.
