Description

17. The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement to BMA Engineering, Inc. for the calibration, beta testing and the development of data collection methods of risk based compliance approved models of personal flotation devices for quality assurance. A plan for data collection and measures for data quality assurance must be developed. BMA Engineering, Inc. has been involved in developing and trimming the models that are to be tested. The USCG anticipates awarding a one-year firm-fixed price contract. The NAICS code is 541330 and the small business size standard is $4 million. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, and is not a request for competitive proposals. However, responses received from other responsible sources prior to close of business on 5 September 2001 will be evaluated. Offerors responding to this notice must provide proof that they can provide the requested services.
