Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is (Request for Quotation) RFQ 10-01-146. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This procurement falls within the definition of North America Industry classification code 234990. The small business size standard is $27.0 million. SPECIFICATIONS: Rental of rubber-tired 4wd loader with 4 cubic yard bucket (Cat 950F Series II or equal) with operator for 90 hours. Rental of 10-cubic yard end dump, dump truck with operator for 90 hours. Estimated start work September 17, 2001. Work schedule will be 10 hours a day, 4 days a week, 0700-1530 with half hour meal break. Meal break is not included in the 90 hours. Bidders to provide the following information on their equipment. Make, model year, serial number, date acquired, and present valve. Work will be done at the South Camel stockpile located near Twelvemile Flat Campground. Haul distance is 16 miles west to Ferron-Mayfield road near Mayfield, UT. Offerors are to include a complete copy of the provisions at FAR 212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with offer. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items applies to this procurement. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Condition Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commerical Items applies to this procurement. Quotes will be evaluated on past performance of contractor and operator and equipment being offered and price. Quotes are due by September 6, 2001 at 4:00 P.M.*****
