Description

BLM National Business Center intends to award a sole source contract to Computer Software Services, 2960 Princeton Way, Anchorage, AK 99508. This sole source purchase will be for systems design, programming, enhancement and maintenance of the Alaska Aquatice Information Management System (ARIMS). The incumbent contractor has been performing design services for the ARIMS project for the past 2 1/2 years. The period of performance for this contract will be from 9/4/01 to 8/31/02, with 2 one-year option periods. This sole source award will be made to ensure an uninterrupted design and implementation of the ARIMS system. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing their capability to provide uninterrupted design and implementation services. Responses may be mailed to BLM, Code 660, Bldg 50, Denver Federal Center, PO Box 25047, Denver, Co 80225-0047, Attention: Steve Santoro. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by BLM not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of BLM. If no affirmative written responses have been received in the office by 2:00 mountain standard time, September 4, 2001, a sole source contract will be pursued with Computer Software Services.
