Description

The U.S. Army, TACOM-ARDEC and ARL Warheads and Technology Center (WETC) has a working relationship with the National Warheads and Energetics Consortium (NWEC) to conduct warheads and energetics research and development of Warhead Objectives -- Shaped Charge, EFP, Objective Force Dismounted Combat, Bunker Defeat Munitions; Explosives Objectives -- Replacement for LX-14, Replacement for Blast Explosives, Novel Energetics Materials; Propellant Objectives -- Research & Development, ManTech, Improved Combustible Cartridge Cases, Novel Ingredients, Formulations and Charge Designs for GEN-3; Pyrotechnics Objectives -- Decoy Munitions, Insensitive Ignition Systems for Currently Fielded Pyrotechnic Devices, Energetic Thrusters; and Fuzing -- Multipoint Initiation, Second Environment Sensor, Multi-role Fuzing and Power Sources. Organizations interested in joining NWEC for participation in the FY03 WETC Request for Project Proposals submission and selection should request an NWEC application from Joseph Taglairino.
