Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The reference number is F41636-01-T-0065. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 337214. The size standard is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide the following items OR EQUAL: CLIN 0001, 14 each network shelving centers which hold over 2000 pounds each and have a frame made of 1 inch by 2 ? inch 12-gauge steel tubing, welded for extra strength; 4 steel rod gussets mounted along back of center to add extra strength; frame that enables shelf additions as needed; 72 inch inside width; heavy duty caster wheels; 2 shelves 22 inches deep for holding CPUs/other equipment; 29 inch deep work surface shelf made of 1 ? inch thick laminate which adjusts to various heights; 22 inch deep tower floor shelf which is heavy-duty reinforced steel shelf that rests on the caster base; 15 inch deep upright vertical supports which include vertical cable management and the base of the uprights provides extra strength and stability; vertical cable management cover; heavy duty brackets which support the work surface every 24 inches, each bracket is attached to the frame by a 7 ? inch high bracket end. Each shelf of the unit needs to support more than 300 pounds each. Delivery shall be 30 September 2001 and FOB Destination to Building 178 loading dock, 404 Greig St, Kelly Field Annex, Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX. The delivery point of contact will be David Calder. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition. Award will be made to responsible offeror based on lowest price. Quoters shall include with their quotes a completed copy of 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certification-Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration, 52.233-3 Protest After Award, 52.247-34 FOB Destination, and DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration, 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items, 252.246-7000 Material Inspection and Receiving Report, are applicable to this acquisition.
