Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is NHLBI-PS-2001-062, and the solicitation is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation/contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27.=20 There are no set-aside restrictions for this acquisitions. This requirement is under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number 334510, size standard 500 employees. There are no set aside restrictions for this requirement. This acquisition is for the upgrade of the General Electric Model LX S4/S5 Magnet to the CXK4 Model, Catalog No. S7500TP and the upgrade of the Signa LX EchoSpeed gradient to Signa LX EchoSpeed Plus gradient, Catalog No. S7501JY. The equipment is manufactured by General Electric Medical Systems, P.O. Box 414, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202-0414. The Government's desired delivery and acceptance schedule is 120 Days after receipt of award document. The F.O.B. Point is Origin. The provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition. The award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror meeting the Government's specifications. The Offeror must provide descriptive literature inclusive of specifications as part of the quotation. The offeror must include a completed copy of the provision of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. The provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items -- Deviation For Simplified Acquisitions, applies to this acquisition and the following clauses are applicable to this acquisition. (1) 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O. 11246). (2) 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans (38 U.S.C. 4212). Curry, not later than September 4, 2001, 3:30 p.m. This is a request for proposal, no solicitation document exists and one will not be issued.
