Description

The Stennis Space Center Procurement Office intends to issue a sole source, firm fixed price, contract to Knowledge Sharing Systems (KSS) Inc., 940 Main Campus Dr., Raleigh NC. 27606, for maintenance of Stennis Space Center's TechTracS (NNTS) Server. KSS will provide remote database administration activities including user and groups account maintenance, security, maintenance, backup and general care. KSS designed and owns exclusive rights to the software used as the agency wide TechTracS database. This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Government believes only one responsible source can provide the service that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 12:00 p.m. local time on August 24, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
