Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a qualified organization or individual to provide the services of a Licensed Phlebotomist at the Federal Prison Camp in Alderson, West Virginia. The contractor will be required to provide five (5) sessions per week. Each session will be six (6) hours in duration for an estimated maximum of 30 hours per week. The contractor must be registered in the state of residence as a Certified Phlebotomy Technician and have experience as a Phlebotomist. The contractor will: draw blood samples on ordered studies, prepare samples for shipment and processing, maintain logs and records, file back-up copies of reports, and maintain quality assurance standards as dictated by the Quality Assurance Committee. The services also include performing minor laboratory procedures such as urine dipsticks, glucometer readings, hematocrit, and fecal occult blood smears. This contract is a total small business set-aside. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Non-Personal Services Requirements Contract. The contract will run from date of award through September 30, 2002. The contract will be awarded utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which will be considered by the agency. The estimated availability of this solicitation is August 31, 2001. Faxed or telephone quotations will not be considered. The solicitation will not be available electronically. It is estimated that the closing date for this Request for Quotation will be September 17, 2001, at 3:00 p.m. local time. All requests should be made prior to this time.
