Description

The 45th Space Wing Contracting Squadron at Patrick AFB, Florida intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. This request for proposal (RFP) -- F08650-01-R-5037 is for a commercial firm fixed-price (non-personal service) contract. The supplies and services include, but are not limited to provide all equipment, services, tools, personnel, training, and supervision for cathodic protection for the following: three (3) elevated steel water storage tanks and one (1) underground steel water storage reservoir. Base period is: 1 Oct 01 to 30 Sep 02 with four (4) one-year option periods of: 1 Oct to 30 Sep. This solicitation is a 100% small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Code is 7389. The NAICS is 541990. The size standard is $5 million. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced, technically acceptable offeror. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the quoter providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product quoted meets the Government's requirement. It is critical that offerors provide adequate detail to allow evaluation of their offer (see FAR 52.212-1(b). It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued. All questions concerning this RFP must be submitted in writing on or before 24 Aug 01. Commercial item provisions and clauses in accordance with FAR Part 12 are applicable to this requirement.
