This announcement is for the request for comments and suggestions on the Draft RFP located at http://www.fs.fed.us/r1/admin/bid listed under the date August 15, 2001 as REQUEST FOR INFORMATION -- DRAFT REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL -- PRODUCTION AND DELIVERY OF CONTAINER GROWN TREE SEEDLINGS: RFP R1-01-45*** AND *** We want to Develop a Source List for these services. ********Services requested will be the Production and Delivery of Container grown Tree Seedlings******** The USDA Forest Service, Northern Region (Region #1), P. O. Box 7669, Missoula, Montana, 59807 has determined a need to obtain Production and Delivery of Container grown Tree Seedlings. ****************After receipt and consideration of comments and suggests received from interested parties on the proposed RFP, the USDA Forest Service will issue a Request for Proposal for the production and delivery of one-year old greenhouse grown containerized tree seedlings from Government furnished seed. **** These services will support the reforestation of National Forest lands in Region 1 (Montana, Northern Idaho, North Dakota and South Dakota) **** The Forest Service currently estimates their plans to acquire approximately 0.5 million to 2 million seedlings with sowing initiated in the winter of 2001, and delivery in summer 2002, fall 2002, and spring 2003 from base year sowing. **** The contract(s) would be awarded as IDIQ type, with minimum quantities determined by the interest and capabilities of potential contractors.
