Description

The USDA Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Alpine Ranger District, Apache County, Arizona requires urban interface thinning of conifer trees from 2 feet tall up to 9"DBH, followed by slash treatment methods involving pullback, chipping, trim and leave, and some buck and scatter, on 6 blocks totaling approximately 170 acres. Alpine Ranger Station is located at the Jct of US Hwy 180 and 191. The contract area must be accessed from two different County Roads within the town of Alpine, approximately 1-2 miles east of the Ranger Station. Plans and specifications will be available on or about Thursday, August 23, 2001. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $99,999.
