Description
THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811211. The small business standard is: average annual receipts for the past three years may not exceed $5,000,000. In June, 2001, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute for the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Services (ORS) Division of Public Safety (DPS), issued a solicitation (NHLBI-PS-2001-001) seeking a contractor to provide full service maintenance and emergency repair of comprehensive closed circuit television (CCTV) and access control systems. Since no technically acceptable offers were received, no award was made. The purpose of this acquisition is to resolicit the requirement. Contractor responsibilities include training, emergency repair, scheduled maintenance and remote service administration for the specified CCTV and access control systems located at eleven (11) NIH off-campus sites. The successful offeror shall demonstrate the ability to provide immediate parts and/or loaner equipment, preventative maintenance inspections every two weeks as well as emergency, on-site service, 24-hour, 365 day per year, within 4 (four) hours of notification. Specific tasks and a description of the existing equipment are discussed in detail in the Statement of Work (SOW). The solicitation document will be released on or about August 16, 2001, with a due date of August 31, 2001. The planned contract award date is September 28, 2001. The solicitation will be sent to those vendors who requested a copy of the previous solicitation as well as those parties responding to this announcement.
