Description
The Army Community Srvice Program Army Family Team Building Program is a modular training program designed by the U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center to educate the entire Army family (active duty, reserve components, Department of Army civilians, retirees, and family members) about the Army culture, benefits, family support and other programs. Army Family Team Building Course Level I consists of seven modules of instruction that comprise a 6 hour training course containing essential, basic informatin about the Army and the Army family. The AFTB Level I course is targeted toward individuals who are new to the Army or who want a refresher course. The AFTB Level II course consists of nineteen modules of instruction that comprise a 12 hour course for those who wish to assume or have assumed a leadership role in their unit or community. Leadership and management skills are the focus of the Level II training course. The AFTB III course consists of 15 modules of instruction that comprise a ten hour training course focusing on professional growth and leadershp development opportunities for individuals who might assume advisory and mentoring leadership roles within the community and unit. The goals of the Army Family Team Building Program are: Improve overall readiness of military families by teaching and promoting personal self-development and family readiness through education; assist the military family team in adapting to a changing world; provide a program which promotes leadership development. Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, supplies, and equipment to operate the Army Family Team Building Program at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, except for those items specifically identified herein as items to be provided by the Government. 1. The Contractor shall implement the Army Family Team Building (AFTB) Program by providing commanders, soldiers, and family members with information on a wide range of topics and services related to life in the Army, the local military community, and military community and civilian community resources. 2. The Contractor shall provide Army Family Readiness training as provided in the Army Family Team Building curriculum issued by the U.S. Army Community and Family Support Center, Alexandria, VA to the Fort Wainwright Army Community Service Program. 3. The Contractor shall conduct Army Family Team Building Level I, II, and III courses and Army Family Team Building Train the Trainer courses that strengthen individuals overall readiness by imparting knowledge or skills in a broad variety of areas such as military acronyms, military customs and courtesies, military and community resources, leadership skills, problem solving skills, utilizing the chain of command and chain of concern. 4. The Contractor shall maintain monthly training statistics of graduates from Army Family Team Building Course Levels I, II, and III and Train the Trainer courses using Technical Exhibit (TE) 2. 5. Contractor shall provide ACS Director with After Action Reports on orientations, briefings, and classes within 3 days after classes, briefings, and orientations. Basic Qualifications: Contractor shall employ, for work on the contract, only those individuals who have the following minimum qualifications: Knowledge of the theory, practices and problems involved in social services delivery issues. This includes experience in organizing training materials, writing lesson plans/programs of instructions, providing classroom instruction, and teaching these skills to others. Knowledge of the military system and military family lifestyles, especially the mobile lifestyle. Experienc in adapting educational/training programs and initiatives in response to customer feedback evaluations and feedback from needs assessments. Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both in writing and orally. Experience in assisting/teaching adults in a formal setting. This may be public speaking experience in clssroom, seminar, or other such setting. Must have experience (12 months or more)in computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 95 and computer applications such as Microsoft Office to perform basic word processing and telecommunications (e-mail and Internet access). Successful completion of the Army Family Team Building Train the Trainer Course. Shall have graduated from an accredited secondary school.
