Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement will be satisfied using commercial acquisition procedures specified in FAR Parts 12 and 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; firm-fixed-price quotations for procurement of the following items are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number DTCG38-01-Q-30022 is being assigned to this procurement for tracking purposes only and this synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The North American Industry Classification Code is 334515 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Coast Guard intends to negotiate and award one contract to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), identified as DITMCO, 5612 Brighton Terrace, Kansas City, MO, 64120. Firm-fixed prices are required for: Upgrade existing DITMCO 770-258 wiring analyzer to DITMCO Model 2524 configuration; one each; modification of two (2) 10K control units to operate with standard DITMCO Dual 50 interface connectors (control units will be shipped to the successful awardee for modification); five (5) days maximum additional technical support, if needed. Additional technical support will be ordered via delivery order, if required. Upgrade of DITMCO 770-258 and any additional technical support required shall take place at U.S. Coast Guard Aircraft Repair & Supply Center, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. F.o.b. point for the two 10K control units shall be destination. The Coast Guard does not own, nor can it provide drawings or specifications for these items. The Coast Guard requires these upgrade services commence no later than 28 September 2001. The closing date for receipt of offers is 28 August 2001, 3:00 pm, EST.
