Description

The Department of State (DOS) intends to negotiate on a sole basis with Rand Corporation for national infrastructure s tudies of key areas of infrastructure connectivity between the U.S. critical infrastructures and foreign infrastructure, spe cifically that of Japan. The studies shall identify key vulnerabilities, based on the nature of connectivity with the U.S. infrastructures that the U.S. Government should address in critical infrastructure protection (CIP) discussions with Japan. Firms that feel they can provide the forementioned studies are invited to submit an affirmative response to comply with all of the above requirements, and must be received within 15 calendar days of this notice, to the effect that comparable studi es are available, and that are more advantageous to the Government than obtaining these studies through the proposed contrac tor, a sole-source award will be made.
