Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is set aside for small business; only small businesses will be considered for award. (Contractors providing GSA Federal Supply Schedule pricing are excluded from this restriction). This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitations number N00206-01-Q-C020 applies and is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAR 90-37 and DAC 91-1. The North American Industry Classification code is 337122 and the business size, a maximum of 500 employees. This requirement is for a fixed price contract for three line items as follows: line item 0001: quantity one each, Henkel Harris rectangular dining table model #2296 or equal(bidding on specified or equal, discriptive literature required with all quotes bidding on equal), 48Wx96Lx29 extends to 144 inches with two 24" apron fillers, mahogany table has 3 " wide inlays around edge of table which are inlaid with satinwood, tulipwood and kingwood, table thickness of 1 ", duncan phyfe double pedestal with casters made of solid polished brass. Line item 0002: quantity one each, Henredon China Cabinet model#6450-60 or equal(bidding on specified or equal, discriptive literature required with all quotes bidding on equal), Natchez Mahogany China Cabinet has two glass doors top that slide side to side with three glass shelves with rheostat lighting four doors that swing open on bottom of chain cabinet 96 W x 18D x 105 H. Line item 0003: quantity one each, Henredon Buffet model#6450-21M or equal(bidding on specified or equal, discriptive literature required with all quotes bidding on equal) Natchez Mahogany, Hairy ball feet on fornt of buffet with intricately carved legs, gold leaf on feet and drawer pulls, has three top drawers with larger middle drawers below two glass doors with glass shelves with door in middle, St.Laurent marble top 76Wx24 Dx38H. Delivery of all items is required by October 01,2001. Items to be delivered FOB Destination to: Receiving Officer, Bldg. 50, 2300 General Meyer Ave., New Orleans, LA 70142-5007. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The provisions at FAR 52.212-, Instructions to Offerrors Commercial Items, applies. Addendum to FAR 52.214-4: paragraph (o) Warranty add: "Additionally, the government will accept the contractor's commercial warranty." Add the following addendum clause: FAR 52.211-5, New Material. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial items applies with the following applicable clauses for paragraph (b): FAR 52.203-6, Restrictions on Subcontractor Sales to the Government Alternate I; FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity, FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Veterans; FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; FAR 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Special Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era. DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, applies with the following clauses applicable for paragraph (b): DFARS 252.225-7012, Preference for certain domestic commodities, and DFARS 525.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program. The government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose quotation is the most advantageous to the government considering price and price-related factors. This solicitation will be evaluated on the following factors: price related, technical and past performance are equal in importance. Quotations must be received no later than 1:00p.m., local time, 29Aug01. Quotations sent via U.S. Postal Services should be mailed to Supply Officer, 2300 General Meyer Avenue, Naval Support Activity, Bldg 11, New Orleans LA 70142-5007. All quotations not sent through the U.S. mail will be considered to be hand carried and direct delivered. Hand carried quotations must be delivered directly to the Purchasing Department, Bldg 11, Naval Support Activity, 2300 General Meyer Ave, New Orleans LA 70142-5007. Direct delivery of offers is only possible during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 3:00p.m., or via fax number (504)678-2430.
