Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)972-30325-709 for 1 each, Magnetron for new TRMNM Radar (NPOL). The transmitter is made by Enterprise Electronics, Part No. EEC-2729. This item is for use in an Enterprise Electronics S-Band Transmitter and must be identical to the existing Magnetron. This transmitter is part of a new research radar being developed at Wallops Flight Facility. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334513 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 972-30325-709 is on or about 9/4/01 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about 9/18/01. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the request for quote which shall be considered by the agency. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred). An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
