Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, proposes to issue a request for quote (RFQ) for the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) for "Miscellaneous Communication Equipment" and installation plus installation of government furnished communication equipment. Specifications are as follows: This installation will provide a complete reinvention of the audio/visual capabilities of the ERDC-Vicksburg Auditorium. Quality cables, cable placement, line terminations, device mounting and/or placement, and device configuration are mandatory. Detailed attention must be paid to signal bandwidth and overall signal degradation. The master console will be provided by the government, additional audio/visual equipment will be furnished by the government; all of the remaining audio/visual equipment required by this project will be listed in the statement of supplies/services included in the request for quote; all non-devices (e.g. cables, terminators, etc.) except for the master console must be provided by the contractor. The deliverable of this RFQ will be a fully integrated broadcast/interactive audio/visual control center. Proof of performance for all aspects of the control center (bidder provided and government provided equipment) will be required before installation will be considered complete. All items (contractor furnished as well as government furnished) shall be delivered and installed no later than 30 September 2001. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered for award. A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation will be 100% set-aside for small business. Availability of specifications, plans, drawings and other technical date is available upon request. See Numbered Note 1.*****
