Description

The work to be performed under this solicitation is the drilling of a bore hole to 800 foot depth and the installation of a 6-inch well. The drilling site is in the Coal Mine Mesa area of the Hopi reservation, Arizona. Elevation at the drill site is about 6100 feet. Access to the drill site is just off of county road 264 south of Moenkopi about 18 miles on the left. The drill site is about 50 feet south of hard-packed, two-rut dirt road. Little site preparation is needed because the area is nearly level and the scatted vegetation is only one to two feet tall. The principal work items to be completed under these specifications include the following: 1 Mobilize drilling equipment and set up at the site. 2 Drill hole and install 12 -inch surface casing. Let cement grout set 48 hours. 3 Drill nominal 12-inch bore hole to 800 feet and run geophysical logs. 4 Install 6-inch well with 100 feet of 20 -slot screen, 10-30 filter pack (or contractor suggested gradation), and cement grout. Let cement grout set 48 hours. 5 Disinfect, complete wellhead , and cap. 6 Demobilize drilling equipment. Solicitation 01SQ308280 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27.
