Description

Project will consist of three site locations: Site 1, C/244 Headcut -- Open access road (1/4 mile) to site and clear work are (100' x 100') with dozer. Slope head cut area and reshape three ephemeral drains with track hoe. Install filter fabric over area water will flow. Haul & place approximately 100 tons of 200 lb fertilizer, mulch all disturbed areas on work site and access road (one acre). Estimated contract time for this site is two days. Site 2, Royal Chapel Pit -- Area to be treated is the abandoned portion of an active gravel pit. Clear stumps, tops and brush from the perimeter of work area (one acre) with dozer. Slope gully walls with material from immediate hillsides with dozer and track hoe. Install terraces across slopes with dozer, install filter fabric at all terrace outlets. Haul & place approximately 125 tons of 90 lb rock in all outlets with track hoe. Seed, fertilize, lime and mulch the one area. Estimated contract time for this site is three days. Site 3, Birdman Branch -- Work site will be six pre-selected sites along Birdman Branch that requires excavating trenches and placing approximately 500 tons of 200 lb boulders. Estimated contract time for this site is two days. All work is located on the National Forests of Mississippi, Homochitto Ranger District, Wilkinson and Amite Counties, Mississippi.
