08The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is seeking actuarial services to perform quantitative analyses of covered pension plans to identify plans in which the plan sponsor has improperly claimed exemption from the variable rate premium (VRP) by reason of incorrectly stating that the plan has met its full-funding limit (FFL), and very likely owe a VRP. This work would require extensive knowledge of PBGC Premium Regulations and IRS regulations relating to pensions as well as experience in preparing the PBGC Form 1 (including Schedule A) and Form 5500 (including Schedule B). The period of performance shall be one year from date of the award. The solicitation number is PBGC01-RQ-01-0032 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ. Telephone requests will NOT be honored. All responsible parties submitting a proposal will be considered by the agency. The solicitation document will be distrubted through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. All information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. All firms obtaining a copy of the RFQ from FedBizOpps must notify the contract specialist at Dyson.Jeannie@pbgc.gov. This notification must include the firm's name, address, contact person, and phone number. Interested parties may obtain a hard copy of this solicitation by requesting in writing to the PBGC or via the contract specialist e-mail address. Interested bidders should submit their request for RFQ no later than 10 days from the date of this notice.
