Description
The intent of this notice is to advise potential offeror's of the Government's intent to issue the final draft Request for Proposal (RFP) for facility/site management of Radford Army Ammuntion Plant (RFAAP). This RFP contains the revised requirements expected of the successful contractor resulting from this RFP. Requirements of the new RFP include submission plans that would show how an offeror would propose to meet the Government's objectives, which include, but are not limited to: -- Operation of RFAAP in accordance with work statements -- Maximize (commercial or otherwise) use of RFAAP to generate revenue -- Generate sufficient revenues to minimze/eliminate the need for Government funding to perform the requirements of the contract -- Self Investment/Modernization of RFAAP -- Retention of critical replenishment skills, facilities and equipment -- Transition -- Maintain link with devlopment community to keep abreast of and participate in process/technologiy evolution should it be required for replenishment -- Utilization of Small Businesses -- Supply quantities (either produced, subcontracted or procured) As there is a current restriction which could limit the offeror's access to the Radford Competition website offeror's are requested to notify either Norman Brown or Patricia Mckenna at the numbers or email addresses contained in this announcement to receive an RFP package. When offeror's are able to access the competition website RFP documents can be downloaded. Offeror's are also notified that particular attention should be given to this RFP as it could be converted to the formal version with short notice and with little or no revision. Offeror's are also again advised that site visits to RFAAP shall be completed by close of business 21 Sep 2001. The points of contact to schedule this visit were provided in a previous announcement or can be requested from the PCO. Copies of the technical data packages in CD format can be requested from the POC's listed in this announcement.
