Description

The US Army TACOM-ARDEC intends to award a modification to contract DAAE30-00- C-1062 for the reseach and development of a 120mm Tactical Self Healing Munition (120TSHM) from Foster-Miller, Inc., Waltham, MA on a sole source basis. The mobility system envisioned for this additional work is consistent with the concept currently being developed by Foster-Miller,Inc. The original concept proposed by Foster-Miller was a unique and innovative approach in response to a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) as part of the Self-Healing Minefield Program. Authority for this procurement comes under 10 USC 2304 (d) (1)(B) where services are only deemed available from the original source in the case of a follow on contract for the continued development of highly specialized services.
