- Description
- The Government of the United States intends to issue a sole source modification to contract N68335-97-C-0091, with Dayton T. Brown Inc., to include additional work. This additional work will require Dayton T. Brown Inc to develop test procedures and test fixtures at the Intermediate Level Testing of the Dual Hydraulic Servo-activators on the AH-1W aircraft for the Government of Taiwan. The Government of the United States does not have the drawings, specifications or data necessary to develop the test procedures or fixtures. In order to perform on this contract, contractors must have detailed technical knowledge, design and developmental history enabling testing of the AH-1W aircraft and its hydraulic/pneumatic components. Contractors must also have extensive experience in writing test procedures for the A/F27T-10 hydraulic test stand and the servo-activators at the Intermediate maintenance Level. The test fixtures must conform to U.S. Navy performance testing as described in 'NA03-30ET-56'. Also the contractor must conduct a training session for a minimum of ten (10) students in a foreign country which includes but is not limited to Taiwan. Complete delivery is to be no later than 31 Oct. 2001. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Contractors must submit in writing their ability to provide the supplies described herein no later than 27 Aug. 2001. However, while the Government will consider any submissions describing the contractor's ability to perform, the U.S. Government reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions received. The Government of the United States further reserves the right to conduct a mandatory Pre-award Survey prior to accepting a submission or proposal or issuing an award. The Government of the United States will reject summarily and submission which can not meet all of the described requirements of this modification.
