Description

This is a Two-Step Design/Build, Sealed Bid project. First step will require offerors to submit data regarding technical qualifications. All offerors meeting the technical qualifications in the first step will be allowed to go forward into Step two and submit bids. The solicitation will result in a construction contract which will require performance and payment bonds. This will be a firm fixed price award based upon a responsible and responsive, lowest bid. Plans and specification will be available approximately 31 August 2001. The work consists of the design and construction of the Davis Pond Site Operations Building (DPSOB), a new 7,960 gross square feet pile founded pre-engineered, handicap accessible building, a hazardous materials building and a fuel storage tank including all utilities and appurtenances. The first floor main building portion (6,000 sq ft)shall contain one garage area (5,000 sq ft), an office area, kitchen facility, storage room, two restrooms (1,000 sq ft), one entrance canopy (60 sq ft), a mezzanine level storage above the office area (1,000 sq ft), miscellaneous storage, HVAC areas, and ancillary spaces such as a parking area, a side fenced canopy storage area (1,000 sq ft fenced, minimum 900 sq ft covered), crushed stone aprons. The work includes degrading an existing road from an existing marsh maintenance structure to Willowdale Boulevard, new parking (including handicap parking), constructing new concrete and limestone aprons immediately next to the building, and taking site borings and surveys. Access to the site is available by public roads. THIS IS A 100%SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.
