Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepard IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DABT31-01-T-0118 is issued as an RFQ for Lease of Trailers and Transportation of Trailers to Granite City, IL. Period of performance is a base period of 1 Oct 01 -- 30 Sep 02 with a possible three one-year option periods. RFQ is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. NAICS is 53249 with a size standard of $5 million. Closing date is 28 Aug 01; 1:00 p.m. CST. Payment will be made by the Government Credit Card. The Contractor shall deliver 3 trailers to Ft. Leonard Wood. The trailers will be loaded by the Government. When a trailer is full the contractor will be called and he must respond within 24 hours by taking away the full trailer and immediately replacing it with an empty one. The contractor will take the full trailer to Granite City, IL. The Government will unload the trailer at Granite City within 4 work hours. Trailers must be 48'long and enclosed and lockable. Tarps are not acceptable. Contractor shall call 573-596-0250 and request a complete copy of the specifications.All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. All sources should include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3. Contractors shall also include their DUNS, Cage Code and TIN numbers.
