Description

The Center for Cancer Research, Laboratory of Tumor Immunology and Biology of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) seeks a contractor to provide an animal breeding and holding facility for mice. All necessary equipment, facilities and personnel shall be provided in order to provide animal care and maintenance for approximately 2500 mice and necessary breeding colonies which will generate mice to replenish the breeding colony as well as mice to be used in experimental procedures. The contractor shall be located so as to be able to pick up and deliver mice, tissue, blood products and reagents within 30 minutes ground transportation travel time to the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. The NCI plans to award a single, firm-fixed priced indefinite delivery type contract. The period of performance will be for an initial contract period of 12 months plus four 12- month options. This acquisition is 100 % total small business set-aside. The anticipated solicitation issue date is approximately 7 days after publication of this notice, and quotes will be due approximately 15 days after the issue date.
