Description

This is a notice of intent to modify DACW41-00-C-0063, an existing contract with W.A. Ellis Construction Co, to place an additional 10,000 tons of stone fill and excavate an additional 10,000 cubic yards of notch excavation in existing dikes and revetments. The original work and services to be performed consisted primarily of the repair of stone fill dikes and revetments along the Missouri River between Jefferson City near river mile 140 and Kansas City near river mile 369. In addition to the repair work, work included a line item for dike notch excavation between river miles 429 and 424, which is near Atchison, Kansas. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response is received the modification will be awarded without further notice. Responses must be submitted to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 760 Federal Building, 601 E. 12 Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64106, ATTN: Greg Gulledge or by FAX (816) 426-5777, by 3:00 pm, EST, 23 August, 2001.
