Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and FAR 13.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number, USZA99-01-Q-0040, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97012. This Request for Quotation is a Small Business-Small Purchase Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-1.=20 Clin 0001, Quantity of 40 EA Dexter Brake Assembly, Right Hand, 8K Duo Servo, Marine, Forward Self Adjust, 12 ?? x 3 3/8? Hydraulic Brake Assy., Park Number 023-421-00 to be Purchased and Modified for Marine use with Stainless Steel Adjuster, Sleeves and Pistons as follows: RH Shoe & Lining Kit, #K71-438-00, to be Riveted with eight (8) rivets per shoe; Cylinder Piston, #054-038-00, to be replaced with Stainless Steel Piston; Cylinder Push Rod, #054-033-00, to be replaced with Stainless Steel Push Rod; Spider Assembly, #036-064-13, Only Sleeved Wheel Cylinder is to be Stainless Steel, RH Adjuster Assembly to be replaced with Stainless Steel Assembly; Clin 0002, Quantity of 40 EA Dexter Brake Assembly, Left Hand, 8K Duo Servo, Marine, Forward Self Adjust, 12 ?? x 3 3/8? All pricing must include transportation costs. Solicitation Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commerical Items (Oct 2000) is hereby incorporated by reference. Solicitation Provision FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999) is hereby incorporated, the evaluation factors are technical, price, and past performance. The government will make a determination of best value based on the evaluation factors cited. Contractors are reminded to submit a complete copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quote, if readily available.
