Description

F09609-01-Q-0009, FGWB 00-0044, Install Fire Alarms in Bldg 558 (MWR Equipment Rental)Dobbins Air Reserve Base (Marietta) Georgia. Provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision required to install a new fire alarm system in an existing building. The installation will involve new fire alarm appliances/devices, raceways, power distribution panel and conductors. Limited finished wall and ceiling cutting, drilling, patching, refinishing and painting will also be involved. The fire alarm system shall be configured to be compatible with the base fire station Monaco tranceiver-RFM 7000 for alarm system supervision. The remote monitoring panel is located at the base fire station, building 745. The period of performance will be 60 calendar days to include material approval, acquisition, transportation and installation. The contract will be firm-fixed price. The estimated magnitude of construction of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. NAICS Code is 235310 with a size standard of $11.5 million. Solicitation F09609-01-Q-0009 will be issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This procurement is unrestricted in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. There will be no pre-announcement of when the solicitation will be available on the internet. The solicitation will be available on the GSA Electronic Posting (EPS) system at: http://www.eps.gov on or about 27 August 2001 with proposals due on or about 14 September 2001. Paper copies will not be provided. When the solicitation is downloaded off the EPS system, it should be read completely as there are milestones that must be met to be considered responsive. Amendments to the solicitation will also be posted on the EPS without notice. All prospective offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) datebase prior to the submission of an offer to be considered for award of any Department of Defense (DOD) contract.
