Description
USAF Officer Uniforms consisting of made to measure men's coats and trousers; and women's coats, skirts and slacks. Garments shall be manufactured from 55/45 polyester/wool serge materials, USAF shade 1620. The contractor shall furnish all material. Each uniform shall be manufactured in accordance with Human Systems Center (HSC) Program Office Clothing Branch Purchase Descriptions and USAFA Letters of Exception. The resultant contractor must be certified for each applicable garment, at the time of proposal submittal, by the Department of the Air Force, Human Systems Center, Air Force Clothing Division, 2255 Monohan Way, Attn: HSC/YAG, Wright-Patterson AFB OH 45433-7009. Interested contractors not certified may obtain information on certification from Ms. Gina Rice (937) 255-6073. Only proposals with current certification numbers for each garment will be accepted. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract with a basic year and four one-year option periods. Estimated yearly quantities are Men's Coats -- 870, Women's Coats -- 140, Women's Skirts -- 140, Women's Slacks -- 140, and Men's Trousers -- 1740. Exact quantities and sizes will be provided through a delivery order no later than 1 December of each year. First articles of each garment shall be required within 30 days after contract award. Qualified fitters shall be required in November of each year to measure all receiving cadets. The contractor shall supply qualified fitters to measure Academy athletes not later than 15 January of each year. The cadet tailor shop shall issue a schedule for measurement in July of each year. The resultant contractor shall provide try-on garments of various sizes for use during the measuring process. These try-on garments will not be considered a part of the government order and will remain the property of the contractor. The cognizant Defense Contract Administrative Office will perform inspections of the manufacturing and packaging process at the contractor's place of manufacture. Final acceptance will be at the USAF Academy. The contractor will deliver, FOB Destination, not later than March 01 of each year.
