Description

The government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to Contract F10603-96-D-0001 with National General Supply, Inc., P.O. Box 2288, Great Falls, Montana 59403, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to continue to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to operate the contractor operated civil engineer supply store at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. the purpose of this contract extension is to provide COCESS until a new contract can be awarded. Award has been delayed because of an Air Force sponsored industry day for the purpose of developing a template statement of work for all Air Force bases who have contracts for a contractor operated civil engineer supply store. The template was approved on 26 July 2001. The modification will extend the contract for the period of 1 December 2001 though 31 May 2002 to allow time for the acquisition process for a new contract. The current contractor is the only source available to provide a COCESS for a six-month period without expensing start up costs to the government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
