Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0286 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-25 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332710. The business size is 500. The requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 a quantity of 15,000 each Receptacle, Hybrid IAW: DWG DEV01139 and quality assurance requirements for Hybrid Receptacle. The successful contractor shall provide a First Article sample consisting of the following production representative hardware within 60 days of contract award: Part No.DEV01139-quantity of 30 each. Manufacture of production quantities prior to First Article approval shall be at the contractor's risk. Inspection and approval of the First Article sample shall be at NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane within 21 days after receipt. After receipt of First Article approval, deliveries shall be as follows: 5000 each-30 days; 5000 each-60 days: and 5000 each 90 days. Delivery is F.O.B. Crane, IN 47522. Final inspection will be at NSWC Crane, IN. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
