Description

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number 01-006 is issued as a request for quotation for a firm fixed price contract for brand name -- no substitute purchase. The Government has a requirement for the quantity of 2 each heat pumps -- McQuay, Inc.'s Templier Model TPD-50. Includes -- microtech DDT controls, circuit breaker, refrigerant 134-A, hot gas by-pass on one circuit, and sound enclosure. Power requirements: 460 volts, 60 HZ. 3-Phase evaporator connection size: (inlet and outlet) 3 inches MPT. Condenser connection size: 2 1/2 inches MPT. Capacity range: 440-470 BTUH. Heating: 105 GPM of water from a range of 120 to 140 degree F, water supplies with 70 GPM of water entering the evaporator at 51 degrees F and leaving a 42 degrees F. Pressure drop across: evaporator is 6.0 feet of water and condenser 1.8 feet of water. Warranty: 1 year parts and labor. Factory start-up. Contractor shall provide complete mailing address, points of contact, fax, and phone numbers for placing orders. One time delivery shall be made on both pumps, FOB Destination. This solicitation will result in a single award. Award will be made to the lowest priced offeror who is in the active file with the Central Contractor Registry at the time of award. Required response date is 24 August 2001 at 3:00 P.M. Eastern. Note 1. The NAIC Code for this procurement is 333415, the SIC Code for this procurement is 3585 and the small business size standard is 750. Offerors shall provide information required by FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items. FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items is applicable. PROPOSAL MUST CONTAIN THE INFORMATION REQURIED BY FAR 52.212-1, INSTRUCTIONS TO OFFERORS, TO BE ACCEPABLE. OFFERORS MUST INCLUDE OFFEROR REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS.
