Description
DESCRIPTION: GENERAL: Steel-reinforced concrete construction, with single strand post-tensioned floor and roof slabs. Roof shall be rated at min. 60 lb. snow load, and structure shall be 100 mph wind rated. Building dimensions will be 10' by 12' with a height of 8'-8". Double lockable 3'by 6'-8" steel doors along the 12' side. Design shall incorporate means to attenuate the effect of explosions on the structure through relief or sacrificial means. Construction must be such that building may be relocated after installation with minimal preparatory effort and no impact to the functionality of the unit. FIRE RATING: Doors shall be 1 1/2 hour fire-rated, and the 10'wall to the left of the doors as you face the building shall be 2 hour fire-rated. Appropriate NFPA placards will be provided. ELECTRICAL: A grounding system shall be provided and lighting components will be explosion proof. VENTILLATION: Ventilation fixtures shall be provided to exhaust any hazardous or flammable fumes and/or vapors, and they shall have fusible link dampers to seal off oxygen supply ih the event of a fire. COATINGS/FINISHES: The exterior shall have a weathered barnwood finish accomplished by use of architectural form liners during the casting process. No on-site finishing work shall be necessary. The interior shall have an epoxy coating resistant to chemical attack. The building and all associated components shall conform to the following industry standards: American Concrete Institute, ACI-318-83, "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete." Concrete Reinforcing Institute, "Manual of Standard Practice", Underwriters Laboratories, "UL Ballistic Rating." LOCATION: The Contractor shall provide two hazardous/flammable materials buildings. One is to be delivered and installed at the Monticello BLM Field Office wareyard located in Monticello, San Juan County, Utah, and the other is to be delivered and installed at the Moab BLM Field Office wareyard located in Moab, Grand County, Utah.
