Description

The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farm Service Agency, Kansas City Administrative Office, intends to issue a sole source acquisition to Clemson University, School of Natural Business, 134 Lehotsky Hall -- Box 340306, Clemson, SC 29634-0306, for seven (7) three hour sessions and one (1) seven-hour field session "Master Tree Farmer Program" educational seminars/workshops to provide educational opportunity for approximately 900 forest landowners and up to fourteen (14) southwestern states. Objectives are for landowners to learn how to practice sustainable forestry, determine options available to manage their land and meet their objectives, understand stewardship considerations for land management, learn about best management practices for protecting the environment and become acquainted with services and assistance available for managing forest land. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement no later than 10 days from the published date of this announcement to the above address. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. No solicitation document exists and requests for such document will be considered nonresponsive.
